Custom portraits are on 6" x 9" watercolor paper, made with the photo of your choice (I can help you pick!). The design shown here is "Mystical Moon" - the moon and flowers will stay the same, with your own photo below. Each print is one-of-a-kind and beautifully imperfect. They are incredibly varied in hue and texture, subject to the whim of natural elements and witchy luck.

YOUR ORDER INCLUDES the original cyanotype, on cold-pressed watercolor paper, plus a digital file, which you can use to make prints in any size you like. Making cyanotypes depends on the weather and takes a lot of trial-and-error - allow up to 4 weeks for delivery.

ABOUT CYANOTYPES:

A cyanotype, or sun print, is an antique photographic process where prints are developed on photosensitive paper exposed to sunlight. I hand paint this watercolor paper with the cyanotype chemicals and process them with a mix of negatives and pressed flowers in a patch of sunlight.
