An artist’s sketchbook is a place to explore ideas and hone techniques without the pressure of tackling a finished project. You can try, play, practice, and gather inspiration for future projects. And at the end, you have a book of your own work to flip through, to witness your personal style emerging and to reference for later inspiration. Children will complete a project each class, to add to their scrapbooks and take home at the end of the session. We’ll explore a variety of techniques, such as watercolor, collage, weaving, sun prints, photography, drawing and more!

I have 20 years of experience in commercial photography, an undergraduate degree in developmental psychology and early childhood education, and I live and work as an artist in Montclair. I’ve photographed hundreds of children over the years and love a chance to get creative with inspiring little muses!

Dates are 1/22, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, 2/26. NO class 1/29. CANCELLATION: if you must cancel, please do so by 1/15 for a full refund or by 1/20 for 50% refund. In the case of no shows or cancellation after 1/20, fees are non-refundable.
